SHELVING FOR KIDS

One of my favorite things to find are inspiring kid rooms. Probably because they’re whimsical, colorful, and anything goes. Since my Kid Decor Pinterest board is getting out of control, I thought I’d narrow down some cool kid shelving solutions. Besides the abundant naked dolls on #4, these creative takes on storage are totally winners.

1. Use wrapping paper to line the back of a standard shelving unit. | 2. Buy some $4 spice racks at Ikea, paint ’em, and hang ’em. | 3. Turn some wood or plastic crates on their side and hang for boxed storage. | 4. Looks pretty easy to make with some boards.

5. Stagger and stack for a different perspective. | 6. A shallow dollhouse for knick knacks and small collections. | 7. How ’bout a bear bookcase in a woodland nursery. Look at the handle tail. It’s all in the details! | 8. Hang up a basket. Would you consider them “bodacious baskets“? I would.

Disclaimer: Even though I try to do my homework and find the original links to all images, sometimes I fail. That’s the case with #3, # 5, #6, and #7. (Actually, #5 and #7 are just MIA.) But their links will take you to a larger image via Pinterest.

All these vivid pics remind me that I’ve never completely shared Mya’s room with you all. So I’ll snap some photos and share soon.

Sure, Ashley. I don’t know that I could match what you do even on your least productive day. But I like reading about it anyway…
