Winner winner honey srirachi chicken dinner! This recipe is pretty darn tasty, inexpensive, and easy peasy. With any recipe I find elsewhere, I always use a lot less sugar… and twice the amount of garlic. I never feel like it’s lacking sweetness and Derek’s grown accustomed to our perpetual garlic breath. 4 chicken breasts, diced
1/4 cup cornstarch

1 cup water
3 Tbsp srirachi
4 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp corn starch + 2 Tbsp cold water

serve with
cooked rice
roasted broccoli

1. In medium sauce pan, combine water, srirachi, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and honey. Stir. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat. Whisk the 2 Tbsp corn starch and 2 Tbsp water until dissolved; then add to sauce pan and stir until thickened. Reduce to low heat.

2. Meanwhile, cook (brown) rice as directed. Lightly coat broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper and bake broccoli at 375 degrees until slightly crisp on parts.

3. In separate pan, cook chicken in oil and 1/4 cup cornstarch over medium heat. Saute until chicken is cooked through.

4. Add chicken to sauce mixture and stir to coat. Serve on bed of rice and roasted broccoli.


We loved it paired with the roasted broccoli. Derek said it was “better than take-out.” (Thanks, babe.) Hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!
