LEAH LYNN: 4 MONTHS

This past month has been a serious blur. Between Derek traveling more and some epic Mya meltdowns, I couldn’t tell you if it’s Tuesday afternoon or Friday morning. And “yes, Mya, if you want to wear your leggings tucked into your socks and your shoes on the wrong feet, you go right ahead. Pajamas to your soccer game?” Sure, why not? There are just some things that I don’t have the energy to battle. After all, who am I to judge her fashion sense?

So within the midst of Mya’s no nap schedule and my wavering patience, our moods are all lightened with Leah. This little love brings us so much happiness every day. Her giggles are becoming more and more abundant and her personality is really shining through. Cheers to another month with our Leah Lynn.

4months-ps

  • weight: TBD
  • length: TBD
  • Grabs our fingers and pulls herself up.
  • Teething, but no visible teeth yet. Just lots of drool.
  • Started using this binky to soothe herself.
  • Needing to be bounced to sleep less. Instead, likes to lay in crib right before drifting off to sleep.
  • 30 minute naps during the day.
  • Usually sleeps 5-8 hours during first nighttime sleep stretch. Then wakes up 1 or 2 times after that.
  • When eating, she takes breaks, looks up at me, and smiles. One of the top highlights of my day.
  • First trip to Omaha for Great Uncle Gary’s wedding.
  • First trip to Wamego for Easter gathering.
  • First trip to Deanna Rose.
  • Mimics our sounds.
  • Queen of blowouts. Sorry, Leah, but you are.
  • Size 3 diapers.
  • Smiles with tongue slightly out.
  • Cradle cap on top of her head. (Or as Mya would say: “cradle crap.”)
  • Laughs the most when I nuzzle my nose and mouth into her neck while she’s on her changing table.
  • Loves looking at herself in the mirror.
  • Loves all toys– especially this silicone teetherthis teether, and this caterpillar.
  • Fingernails grow so fast. Could trim them every day.
  • Chews on knuckles.
  • One crazy long hair on top of her head.
  • Doesn’t like me eating onions, cabbage, dairy, or dark chocolate. The last one might be a problem.
