This post could also be titled “THAT ONE TIME WHEN WE KIND OF DRESSED UP.” The other night when I was writing about the girls’ art station, I realized that the last three posts showcased the girls in their PJs: They wore them to see Santa and then we didn’t change out of them last weekend, soooo… it kind of looks like we’re a bunch of weirdos and don’t have our kids wear real clothes. Which is kind of true. But Mya usually has us coordinate and accessorize and keeps us up on the current trends of a 4 year old. And a couple months ago we all faked it ’til we made it at a nearby park for our family Christmas card. Here are some other gems that I loved equally as much. I mean how lucky am I… ?!
Aaron of Lumos Images captured our little family in a beautiful light. If you are in the Kansas City area, you should call on him because he was so great with the girls and I will treasure these photos for the end of time. Even being later in the day (5 PM), Leah having skipped her afternoon nap, and Mya being bribed to keep her cool with a sucker, Aaron made the session fun and lighthearted. For the following week, Mya kept asking to go back to the park so Aaron could take our pictures again.
Now there’s proof that sometimes we like to get “fancy” as Mya would say. Yet I still couldn’t find a way to fix my hair other than a ponytail. Oof. You better believe I’m gonna plan ahead next time and schedule a blowout hair appointment. 😉
Looking forward to having my Dad visit this weekend and install an under cabinet water heater with Derek. If he’s lucky, I might even cook dinner for him… Or order some BBQ. Probably the latter. Happy weekend, friends!
